    lagoon pool
    hiking trail
    gym facility

We absolutely loved our time here, especially splashing around in the amazing lagoon pool and taking a relaxing stroll along the beautiful hiking trail. The only small downside was that the gym could use a little updating, but it was still decent for a hotel. If you can, definitely treat yourself to an ocean view room – it’s so worth it! 🌊

    saltwater lagoon
    amazing views
    variety of pools

Had a great time with friends! The saltwater lagoon was perfect for kayaking, and Shipwreck Beach had amazing views, though it’s not great for swimming. Loved the variety of pools and the relaxing atmosphere. The service was friendly, and the dining options were solid. If you’re heading to Kauai, this place has everything you need for an unforgettable trip!

    tropical getaway
    gorgeous pools
    friendly staff
    rough beach
    costly dining

The Grand Hyatt Kauai Resort & Spa is a beautiful tropical getaway! The gorgeous pools, especially the saltwater lagoon, provided a perfect play area for my kids. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, always greeting us with smiles. Our room had amazing ocean views and was spacious and comfortable.

The beach area is a bit rough and not ideal for swimming.

    dining prices

The distances to key areas, like the pool and dining options, felt daunting—especially when lugging around beach gear. Dining prices soar into the ridiculous, with breakfast at an eye-watering $52 per person that really doesn’t match the quality. Also, the beach area is challenging for swimming, with the rough surf making it less than ideal for a laid-back dip in the ocean.

    would love to go back

The pools are incredible with a huge saltwater lagoon and a separate adult-only area. My room had a balcony and a fridge. Great amenities like a flat-screen TV and a nice shower. The spa offers amazing services like massages and body treatments. The gym is well-equipped with fitness classes and outdoor swimming pool. Gorgeous landscaping everywhere!

    cultural experiences
    welcoming staff
    room maintenance
    breakfast pricing
    facility access

Staying at Grand Hyatt Kauai was exciting. The pool complex blew me away, especially the saltwater lagoon. It felt like paradise, perfect for unwinding. The gardens surrounding the pools were beautifully landscaped, creating a serene atmosphere. However, accessing some of the facilities felt cumbersome. My room was spacious but showed some signs of wear, especially the carpets. Staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful, making check-in enjoyable. I also loved attending the Hawaiian language class. it added a unique touch to my stay. The dining options were varied, but breakfast pricing felt steep. Overall, I felt at home and appreciated the cultural experiences offered. Some maintenance updates could elevate the experience further.

We had an amazing time at this resort! The large pool was a hit with the family, and we loved the protected saltwater lagoon for kayaking. Plus, the beachfront was beautiful for our dog to enjoy walking by the ocean. Can't wait to return!

My kids wished there were more family-friendly dining options.
